REFLECTIONS
I Exchanged Distance for Proximity
I still love strategy. Only, I just think you cannot build a good one from a distance. What I learned about strategy while doing fieldwork
The Beginning of Community Economy
Bloemfontein. August 2025. Namibia Township. 53 people (15-68 yrs) gathered to share what matters for a good life in their community. When people asked what to expect, we said honestly, we don't know.
There comes a moment when what has always worked quietly stops working. That's where we meet.
Founders, leaders, investors, municipalities, or restless changemakers. Different responsibilities and different realities. But they all feel the same urgency for change. Our work might take the form of a long-term advisory relationship, a strategic engagement, a conversation over tea, or a keynote that changes the perspective in the room. The format depends on your situation and the work we can do together.
SERVICE
-

Strategic & project-based work with organizations, governments, investors, and municipalities. Rigorous, grounded, and always connected to what's actually happening in real life.
-

Deep 1:1 work, all about you and what moves you. We go to the edges of what you're building or becoming, or seeking inspiration for. I am your thought partner. And when it's needed, I give you the advice that doesn't soften the truth.
-

Speaking on my favorites: humanity in the economy, community economy development, community capital, economies in transition, the forces that shape them, and what leadership looks like when the ground is shifting.
